1/29/2020 0 Comments The Next Big Journal System...Okay, so basketball practice is on Monday. I have an appointment on Tuesday at 3pm, so let’s jot that down here on this sticky note. Then on Wednesday, let’s check my phone notes.... I know I wrote it down somewhere? OH! Also, I need to write on my home calendar that we have piano on Friday! What a busy upcoming week! Does this sound like you? Little notes written here and there all sprinkled around the house or on your desk? Do you have ten different places where all of your To-Do’s, reminders, appointments, entries for a diary, goals, etc? What if there was a way to bring all of those different sticky notes, journal entries, appointments and tasks together in one central location? The answer is simple: BuJo Components of a Bullet Journal
Migration This process is done monthly to help you get rid of all the other distractions around you. Think of migration as a way to reflect on the past months. Once you are ready to start your next monthly log, you need to go back and look at tasks from the previous months that did not get finished and “migrate” those to the current month. Migrate your future log as well. During this process you can find out what events or activities need to have their own collection. For example, if you wrote in your notes about a new book that came out during that month, but did not get a chance to read it, you could create a “Books to Read” collection. Another way to determine if something is worth your time, is having to rewrite it over and over until it gets done. Think about it this way, if you do not have the energy to continuously rewrite it, then you probably do not think it is that important and can officially eliminated it as a task in BuJo. Doing this process of migration over and over each month will eliminate all these little distractions that occur throughout your life. So there you have it, a new and improved way of organizing and maintaining everything in your life in one single notebook. You can even take your BuJo one step further and make it fashionable and unique to you by adding stickers, using colored pens, or even using stencils to add a little pop to each page!
