2/25/2020 0 Comments Spread Ideas for your BuJoVacations, retirement, savings, emergency funds, bills, there are so many events and obstacles in life that need money. How do we keep up with all these different accounts, how much is in each account, and how much goes into the account each month? This is where your bullet journal can come in handy. Whether you are saving for a vacation, a car, the future or if you are just simply trying to manage your monthly bills a bullet journal is a great start to making, understanding, and managing your finances. Some spread ideas that you can add to your BuJo to help you save for different life events are: making a monthly budget tracker, bill tracker, spending tracker, savings tracker or a debt payoff tracker. These different types of trackers can help you get your finances under control and save for the future! Monthly Budget TrackerTracking your monthly budget can help you see where your money is going and where it needs to be going each month. Having a monthly budget allows you to make categories for each of your spending habits. Whether those habits are for bills, home repairs, entertainment (Netflix subscriptions, date nights, etc), savings, or vacations you can make a category for anything that you personally need for your monthly budget. Bill TrackerOne thing that is going to be on everyone’s list is bills. Everyone has bills to pay, so this is a main priority when trying to budget your finances. A bill tracker spread is great for those of us that tend to forget when things are due, especially if your bills are all due at different times. If you have a bill tracker in your BuJo, it is a great way for you to plan your bills ahead of when they are due. For example, some bills are due semi-annually or annually. Having a bill tracker could not only help this remembering their due dates, but it could also help you get ahead of the game when planning for those bills. You could even go as far as color coding all of your monthly, semi-annually, and annual bills in your BuJo, that way you can make it easier to just glance at your bill tracker and see what/when something is due. Spending TrackerSometimes our spending can get out of hand and we do not even realize it. As a little refresher and to make sure that you are on the right path, it could be a good idea to track your spending, whether it be for a week or a month, it will give you some great insight to where your money is going and if you need to rethink your spending habits. Saving TrackerDo you have a savings goal in mind, but just do not know how to keep up with it? Trying adding a Savings tracker to your BuJo! A savings tracker can help you reach your goals by managing how much you are adding to your savings. In your BuJo, you could draw a jar, a circle (like a pie chart), maybe even a thermometer type thing to show that the once it gets filled to the top your goals have been met! Debt Payoff TrackerThink of the debt tracker as the reverse of the savings tracker. When you are creating a spread to track your debt you are wanting to make it go lower and lower versus the savings that you want to get higher and higher. Having a debt tracker can be a great way to visually see where you are in terms of your debt at a quick glance. There are many ways that you can track your debt in you BuJo, you could use a line chart to graph each time that you pay off some debt. Furthermore, with a line graph, you can use multiple colors to track multiple debts all at once. Creating a chart with just the amount that you paid on the debt is another great way to manage paying down your debt. Lastly, creating a box chart. A box chart is formed by making boxes represent a number and then putting however many boxes you need per your debt category. Once you have completed one box you then color it in to represent that you have paid “x” amount for that particular bill.
